He read a story called Poo in the zoo.
It was amazing seeing his drawing today!
He drew a picture of a rabbit and a mole and a naughty wolf.
It was wonderful and we got to meet a real author.
We are looking forward to writing our own stories and being an author.
From Class 6
Author & illustrator, Steve Smallman, visited Whitestone today. Everyone was so excited in anticipation of his visit & he didn't disappoint. Steve animatedly told some of his stories & gave us a masterclass in sketching characters.
The children and staff alike were totally enthralled! Check out his twitter feed @SteveRT1 and ours @WhitestoneInfs
This morning was the best day ever!
We got to see real Kapok and piranha teeth!
We learnt that in the rainforest you weave stuff out of grass.
Also we did a little dance pretending to be monkeys and birds while Liz and Devinder played special drums.
We can't wait until our final performance in front of our families.
The Governors were very impressed by the challenge provided to children on World Book Day and even more so with the way the children rose to the occasion.
All children and staff looked AMAZING in their character costumes. The WIS governors joined in and shared their favourite childhood books.
