The Eco-Team & Mr Stokes (governor) selected the winning posters. All entries were AMAZING and had really important messages about REDUCING, REUSING and RECYCLING.
The engineers have successfully resolved the issues with the boilers and school will re-open tomorrow - Thursday 21st December
URGENT NOTIFICATION – EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSURE
Whitestone Infant School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday 20th December as a result of having no heating & hot water due to a broken boiler.
Unfortunately we need to advise parents of the closure of Whitestone tomorrow.
The school heating system failed this afternoon. Engineers have been onsite this evening and have not been able to repair the boiler. Unfortunately we must close the school tomorrow. Hopefully the engineers will be able to fix the heating system so that we can open our doors again on Thursday.
This means we must make changes to tomorrow’s scheduled events:

We have a new defibrillator in the school entrance. It is accessible during school opening hours, 6am-6pm everyday during term time.
When we returned to school, we were thrilled to receive a certificate of thanks, along with Blade & Peggy toy mascots following our fund raising event held in July. Thank you to Lilly-Rose for asking the School Council to support her fund raising suggestion to benefit the Air Ambulance.
