Friends of Whitestone
Please allow us to introduce ‘Friends of Whitestone’ to you.
We are a group of parents and teachers who organise and manage fundraising events on behalf of the school. The funds raised enable us to purchase additional items of equipment for the school to enhance the children’s learning experiences. Recent equipment purchased includes outdoor play equipment to promote lifelong fitness and some beautiful furniture for class book corners.
Friends of Whitestone warmly welcome all parents, grandparents, staff & members of the School’s Community to join the group. We hold regular meetings at school, usually half termly on a Tuesday evening, which are relaxed and a chance for us to get to know each other. In addition we hold at least one social event each year.
There are always plenty of items on the Whitestone Wish List and we are certain that there are many new ways to raise funds. New faces always bring new ideas so please come along to a meeting, find out ‘first hand’ what Friends of Whitestone do, join us and share your ideas!!
If you are unable to attend the meetings but are able to help at any of our fundraising events then please let us know. We always need and warmly welcome additional help.
