E-Safety Digital Leaders

The E-safety Digital Leaders Team is made up of two representatives from each class, Mrs St. Denis the Online-Safety Leader and  Mrs Green the Head teacher.

The group meets each half term to discuss Online-Safety provision around the school and organise competitions, events and assemblies.

Aims of the Digital Leaders

  • Promotes online safety across the whole school through assemblies, workshops and class activities.

  • Monitors and reviews the school’s online safety policy to make sure it reflects current guidance and best practice.

  • Supports pupils by listening to their views and experiences about using the internet and ensuring their voices shape our online safety work.

  • Advises staff and parents on how to deal with online safety issues, providing guidance and resources to use at home and in school.

  • Raises awareness of potential risks online, such as cyberbullying, privacy concerns and inappropriate content.

  • Plans events and campaigns, such as Safer Internet Day, to celebrate positive uses of technology and remind everyone about staying safe online.

By working together, the Digital Leaders help to create a school culture at Whitestone where everyone can enjoy technology in a safe, respectful and positive way.
