  • #Fifty Things Friday

    Sun 19 Sep 2021 N Green

Every Friday on the Early Years Facebook Page they focus on one of the activities featured in the ‘50 Things to do before you’re 5’ app. This week it’s time to discover ‘Little People park Keeper!’ - Activity #27

Adventures in the park. Happy hearts and happy faces. Happy play in grassy places. Time to get the children out for some real life fun and enjoy the open spaces of your local park.

Changes in how we live are affecting childhood experiences. Time for outdoor play is decreasing, contributing to less active lifestyles which are often disconnected from the natural world. The benefits of outdoor play for young children’s healthy growth is widely recognised.

A visit to the park provides an inexpensive stimulus that captures children’s attention and interest and offers countless opportunities to learn through play. Research shows that outdoor free play gives children many valuable benefits, including the development of physical, emotional and cognitive skills.

    Tue 14 Sep 2021 N A Green

    Good Afternoon Year One,

Just a little reminder that the Year One Team are hosting a Q & A session at 5pm today to answer any questions that you may have about year 1. Even if you don't feel like you don't have any questions it's always good to come along because it may give you more information about year 1 through listening to the answers of other parent's questions.

This will take place in this "General" channel of the "Year One WIS 2021-22" Team. To join the session, you need to wait for the blue join button that will appear in this channel at 5pm.

    See you soon,

    The Year One Team
