Wow, what another amazing morning at Whitestone! We watched Mark Lewis Francis competing in his gold medal winning 4x100m race, had our photographs taken with him and had a chance to ask him about his journey. I was so proud of the way the children participated in the physical activities.
Mark reiterated the need for hard work and effort, saying practise makes perfect. He persevered through some highs and lows, he had high aspirations and believed in himself. A truly inspirational experience for all involved.
We had a fantastic time yesterday performing The Great Kapok Tree to our friends and families. We were fabulous and Soni really enjoyed pretending to be a snake. It was such fun at the end when we brought the adults up to dance with us! We are so thankful to Liz and Devinder from In2Cultures for all their help.
Today we had chance to meet Mark Lewis-Francis from Team Super Schools! We had to do lots of different exercises like running. It was hard work, but lots of fun! Ebraheem really enjoyed doing star jump and touch jumps. Bill even challenged Mark to a running race! We wonder who would win?
Thank you for the wonderful feedback following the really special Mother's Day celebration. Our Year 2 children performed a fantastically fun song, as well as a touching poem to all of their marvellous mums. The catering staff made delectable treats which were devoured by children and adults alike.
Happy Mother's Day
