A couple of weeks ago, six children from our Safe & Active Travel team (2025-26) represented Whitestone at a special awards event in Warwick. Over 24 schools participated, with more than 100 children. It was very exciting for the children to travel to Warwick and be part of the celebration in the very beautiful building of Old Shire Hall (the children were amazed by the VERY fancy toilets, the high ceilings and chandeliers!). Today in assembly the children shared the well deserved Platinum Award for Whitestone's positive work in terms of road safety, ably led by Mrs Gamblin. We were surprised to also be one of just a handful of school's to be presented with a long service award in celebration of our long term commitment to active travel.
