Mental Health & Well-being Team

At Whitestone Infant School, we believe that nurturing children's mental health is just as vital as supporting their academic growth. A child's emotional wellbeing lays the foundation for confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and caring environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. Through age-appropriate wellbeing activities for example using The Zones of Regulation, open conversations, and strong partnerships with families, we help children develop healthy coping skills and emotional awareness. Our staff are trained to recognise and respond to mental health needs, and we work closely with the Mental Health in Schools Team and other external professionals including Connect for Health and RISE when additional support is needed. Together, we aim to build a school community where mental health is prioritised and every child can thrive.
