All of our children recently took part in an exciting skipping workshop with John from Skip2bfit. Throughout the workshop, the children learnt a range of skipping skills and techniques, while also developing important life skills such as resilience, determination and perseverance.
Using the special Skip2bfit skipping ropes, which count every skip, the children completed the exciting 2-minute challenge and worked hard to improve their scores each time. The children showed fantastic determination and never gave up, even when they found some of the skills challenging at first. We were incredibly proud that every child was able to beat their previous score and celebrate their own personal achievement. The smiles on their faces and the pride they showed in themselves was wonderful to see!
At the end of each session, the children were each given a box of blueberries and discussed the importance of making healthy choices and leading active lifestyles. The workshop was a fantastic way to promote both physical activity and wellbeing in a fun and engaging way.
We will continue to practise our skipping skills in school and children also have the opportunity to purchase Skip2bfit skipping ropes so they can continue joining in and staying active at home too.
